Although Uganda is located on the equator, its climate is warm rather than hot, with temperatures varying little throughout the year. Most of the country receives an annual rainfall of at least 75 cms. In the area of Lake Victoria it is double the national average. Average temperatures range from 24 to 28 centigrade. The best times to visit are December to March and June to September. During these periods it may rain but will not be as heavy as the rainy season of March to May and October and November.

The currency is Ugandan Shilling. Visitors may bring in as much foreign currency as they wish. All major credit cards are accepted. Banking hours are 08.30-14.00 |
