Here live The Mountain Gorillas which are the most awe inspiring animals in Africa. They have faced extinction due to poaching and the decimation of their natural habitat. Today the decline has been slowed and they are now able to extablish their family groups untroubled by man. Access to the families are strictly limited and controlled. Small groups when allowed, are accompanied by a ranger. The number of tourists is very limited at any one time. See our site www.gorilla-tours.com There is an abundance of other wildlife in the park. One can hope to see Colobus Monkey, Jackal, Porcupine, Golden Cat, Honey Badger, Duiker, Aardvark and Elephant. In addition one might also see Leopard, Giant Forest Hog, golden monkey, bushbuck and buffalo. There is a wealth of birdlife to be seen with their brilliant plumage.
